These four simple steps can help you feel like you have a brand new kitchen.

Appliance Upgrades (insert picture)

There are tons of options out there for choosing new appliances. Do you go with stainless or that cool new black stainless color all of the models are showing? If there is one thing I have learned, it's that the newest options will always be the most expensive. I prefer a classic that will still look fantastic, 10 years from now. A great option is choosing one of the pre-selected sets that most stores are offering. It takes the guess work out of pricing. And most sets are the newest models, with all of the latest and greatest features. Your kitchen will take on a whole new attitude with matching brand new appliances.

Tile and paint (insert picture)

Turning dark walls into a lighter color will do wonders for the feeling of the size of the room. Don't be afraid to go all white. Clean white walls with touches of color added in, will magically make your kitchen feel brand new again. Then, visit your local tile store for how to's on adding your own kitchen back splash. Yes, you can do this yourself! Adding a beautiful stone or ceramic backs plash will give that kitchen some class. Not to mention make it much easier to clean when pasta sauce gets splattered everywhere.

Lighting (insert picture)

New lighting can change the entire mood of the room. It can brighten up existing décor and even make those same old tried and true recipes, look even more appetizing. Shopping online for new lighting fixtures is also a great way to get the best deal, and compare different styles that will compliment the current architecture of the room. In addition, I prefer a soft white LED light bulb. It gives the room a clean bright look, without blinding you.

Cookware (insert picture)

In addition to having a fantastic new oven and cook top to prepare all of those Pinterest meal recipes I find, I love having new cookware to prepare them with.Because every cook needs great tools right? Would Wonder women fight battles without her sword? Or would Batman fight crime without his utility belt? Nope! So be sure to arm yourself with the best cookware and tools you can get your hands on. Even add a new gadget in there for good measure. Amazon and Costco are two of my favorite sources for finding fancy cookware and gadgets that help make my Pinterest recipe dreams come true.
