Bluebonnets aren't the only thing blooming in Texas

Land sales are also blooming or booming (depending on where you are from). You can't hardly drive down any stretch of road in Texas without seeing a for sale sign of some kind. Similar to the Texas oil boom, Texas land owners have figured out there is money to be made in the land. Not only are Texans eager to sell, but the rest of the world is ready to invest in Texas also.

Since 2013 sales of bare land have been on the rise. Investors from across the country are eager to get their hands on raw Texas land. Many times they simply buy, and watch it grow in value. Other times new land owners will market their property for purposes such as hunting and recreational activities. Another popular trend I have seen is investors purchasing large portions of property, splitting it up and selling to building contractors.

Although no Texan wants to see their beautiful home land divided up and sold to the highest bidder. This is seemingly the inevitable future of Texas. So what do you do? First option is, don't give in. If you love the beauty that surrounds you, then don't give in to the temptation of dollar signs. Or better yet, buy up all of the land around you that you can. You May not want to sell, but someone else does! And the best way to secure what is built or not built, is by ownership.

If you don't mind building and Commerce, then making a profit on a land sale might also be for you. You have many options on how to take land and turn it into money in the bank. The most obvious is buying large portions and splitting them up. Smart marketing and a knowledgeable real estate agent are keys to making your maximum profit.

Regardless of what side of the fence you reside on, May the Texas bluebonnets continue to bloom and be in abundance for now and years to come.
